This is a special challenge day sail designed for school students 13yrs or older who have the team work and communication skills needed to get South Passage out of the harbour, around a prescribed course in Moreton Bay and back in a set time limit.

South Passage is a 100ft gaff-riggedschooner built with advantages of modern technology merged with the spirit and romance of traditional sailing.  She has been specifically designed and built to teach young people how to sail through the development of teamwork during “Adventure Under Sail”.

Working in three teams, we will guide you in all the skills required to get this traditional boat out of Manly Harbour and onto the bay for an exciting 4 hours of sailing.  Weather permitting, we will use nothing but the power of the wind in the sails, teamwork on the ropes and skill of navigation and helming to guide us around the bay and back in only 4 hours.

We have a COVID-19 safety plan in place and positions are limited to 20 passengers to allow for adequate social distancing, both on deck and below.  To ensure the safety of all passengers and crew, non-contact body temperatures will be taken before boarding.
