This voyage
is scheduled for school holidays and is aimed at both students and adults. It
will be sailed in the partial smooth waters of Hervey Bay and Moreton Bay with one
long day of ocean sailing.

The following 5-day plan for the voyage will be
dependent on the weather forecast for the week.

Day 1- Head north into Platypus
Bay.  – time for practice tacking as well
as hopefully doing some “whale watching”. Anchorage-probably  somewhere in Platypus Bay such as near Arch
Cliff, hopefully in time for a shore excursion on Fraser Island.

 Day 2 - head south past Moon Point. Shore time
on day 2 could include a walk to the
remains of the Z Force training site
at North White Cliffs. The shallow section of the Great Sandy Straits will need
to be crossed late afternoon Tuesday evening before anchoring further down the
Sandy Straits, probably Inskip Point.

Day 3- Wide Bay Bar  crossed early Wednesday and the long sail
back to Moreton Bay - an opportunity for an overnight sail or at
least some night sailing.  Anchorage at Tangalooma Wrecks.

Day 4 -Time would then be
available for Tangalooma (sandhills/snorkelling) before sailing further down
Moreton Bay for the final night’s anchorage.

Day 5-Possible shore time before
return to Manly .
