Get away from the world, leave your emails and text messages behind and take on the sea! This is a modern ship built and operated along traditional lines. Be part of the crew sailing the beautiful 100ft gaff-rigged schooner heading out to the open ocean travelling for 6 adventure-filled days. There will be many beautiful spots to stop, swim, and explore along the magnificent Keppel coast. 

South Passage is a sail training ship. As a part of our voyage crew, you will be taking part in all aspects of operating the ship - hoisting sails, keeping a lookout, doing anchor watch, navigating, taking the helm, daily maintenance and cleaning. There will also be time to enjoy the environment - the sea life, the exhilaration of sailing, swimming and island bush walk excursions.

NO ALCOHOL on board - as a sail training ship, South Passage is a dry ship.

The price includes all on-board meals, training, accommodation, certificate and GST.

Day 1. Rosslyn Bay to Pearl Bay 40nm.

Day 2. Pearl Bay to Duke Islands 32nm. Explore ashore.

Day 3. Duke Islands to Middle Percy Island 20nm. Lunch & walk to homestead.

Day 4. Middle Percy to Curlew Island 25nm. Explore ashore.

Day 5. Curlew to Scawfell Island 45nm.

Day 6. Explore ashore. Scawfell to Mackay 24nm. 16:00hrs Disembark.
