 SOUTH PASSAGE.

South Passage is Queensland's sail training ship, a 25 metre gaff schooner operated by the Sail Training Association of Qld. Inc. (STAQ). STAQ is a non-profit organization which relies on the enthusiasm and goodwill of a large cohort of volunteers to keep South Passage sailing, providing adventure voyages for school and other groups along the coasts of Qld. and NSW. STAQ is
funded almost entirely from voyage fees, receiving no ongoing government support.

With your help as voyage crew, South Passage is crewed by a Skipper, a Sailing Master, a Cook and three volunteer watch leaders. During the voyage you will sleep in dorm style accommodation in either the main or fore cabin.
The ship has three toilets, two showers, a well-equipped galley, navigation station, workshop and engine room.

By sailing with us, you help fund our youth voyages and day sails which aim to empower young people with teamwork, initiative, leadership and resilience.
